Pool projects move faster when the address, scope, base information, and responsible parties are clear at the beginning. The process below is adjusted to the jurisdiction and proposal, but it shows where the owner, contractor, designer, and reviewing authority each contribute.
1. Project review
Send the property address, project type, pool concept, and available site information. We identify the likely permit authority, determine whether the project is a new pool or remodel, and flag obvious conditions that may require surveying, geotechnical input, drainage review, or another specialty.
2. Scope and document collection
You receive a proposal describing the drawings, calculations, professional disciplines, revisions, and permit-support tasks included. After authorization, we collect the survey or base plan, dimensions, photos, equipment data, existing plans, and jurisdiction documents needed for design.
3. Draft pool plans
The site plan, pool layout, depths, sections, features, equipment, and included system information are developed from the approved concept. Questions and conflicts are resolved before the design reaches final documentation.
4. Engineering and coordination
Applicable structural analysis and specialty information are completed and coordinated with the drawings. The responsible licensed professional signs and seals the documents within that professional scope and jurisdiction.
5. Permit submittal
The coordinated PDF package is delivered to the owner or contractor, or assembled for submittal when permit management is included. The applicant supplies required declarations, contractor information, authorizations, and agency fees.
6. Plan-check response
The authority may approve the package, request clarifications, or issue corrections. We address comments related to the original scope, update the affected plans or calculations, and prepare the resubmittal response. Review cycles continue until the authority accepts the documents or the project scope changes.
